Everyone at Bullen is extremely proud of this accomplishment. According to Bullen’s President Steve Brown, “This award recognizes that we have been successful in putting into practice our company’s vision, mission and values statement. In part they state that Bullen is committed to integrity and excellence. That we treat customers, suppliers, and employees with fairness, promoting an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect. That we are committed to the personal and professional growth of all employees and constantly strive to maintain a safe, friendly, and positive work environment.” Tony Little, Bullen’s Franklin Street Facility (Eaton, OH) Plant Manager stated: " It's quite an honor to be a part of an award that recognizes the philosophy Bullen Ultrasonics has lived by for so many years. To work diligently and create an environment that all employees enjoy being part of is truly what we all strive for. I'm very proud of this tremendous accomplishment, and without all our employees, we never would have realized this great recognition." Greg Jepson, who joined Bullen two years ago as the Camden Road Facility’s (Eaton, OH) Operations Manager said: “The achievement of this award is even more significant when one considers that the company has grown sixfold in ten years, implemented a Quality Management System within that time and has expanded its management from outside of the company environment. Each of these events alone is a stress raiser and challenging to any employee group. Yet, the employees through their surveys confirm that Bullen has done these well and maintained a strong mutually beneficial workplace. This recognition is a testament to the strength of purpose of all employees to maintaining an admirable company culture.” Bullen participated in the Great Place to Work selection process as a continuous improvement vehicle to gain feedback in their human resources and management practices as described by Bullen’s Vice-President/General Manager, Mary A. Bullen: “Bill Hutton, our Human Resources Manager, approached me about entering Bullen Ultrasonics for the award. Although, for years, we earnestly strived to make Bullen a great place to work, I didn't imagine that we could be one of the winners. Bill convinced me that the effort was worthwhile because we would get feedback from our employees, from a professional survey, on what we do well and how we can do better. Since two-thirds of our score is based on the employee surveys, it confirmed that we were doing something right! It takes a company vision, a management commitment, and employee involvement to make Bullen a 'Great Place To Work'. I'm proud of what we have accomplished together!” About GPTWI: GPTWI is a research and management consultancy headquartered in San Francisco with affiliate offices in 25 other countries throughout the world.
